Bio
NYC-based Never Sometimes Always walks the line between indie rock and pop punk, with catchy hooks, nostalgic riffs, and lyrics laced with sarcasm and grit. Fronted by Abby McCarthy, who studied in the shadows of Regina Spektor and Mitski, their music is unapologetically honest, steeped in storytelling, and rife with the kind of playfulness that cuts through melodrama before it gives way to the void. Their music relays the exquisite pain of being human and the ability to meet the darkness and ride the wave to the other side.
In summer 2022, the band released their first 3 singles, "Sad Indie Boy", "I Hate U", and "How I'm Missing You", and they are currently in the studio working on their first full-length debut album. The first single off of the new album, "Manic Pixie Dream Girl," is set to be released August 4, 2023.
Active Members: Abby McCarthy, Nick Colantonio, Jack Sutherlin, and Sam Maxwell
